The Asthma Center Welcomes Two New Practitioners

The Asthma Center, the leading allergy and asthma practice in the Philadelphia area, is happy to welcome two new practitioners, Anar Dossumbekova MD, PhD and Melissa Gross, CRNP.
About Anar Dossumbekova, MD, PhD
Dr. Anar Dossumbekova is a board-certified allergist & immunologist specializing in allergy, asthma and immunology for adult and pediatric care. She has extensive medical research experience with several peer reviewed publications and national presentations to her name.
She completed her Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the University of Texas Medical School and her residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Massachusetts Medical School Teaching Hospital in Pittsfield, MA.
Dr. Anar Dossumbekova completed her PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology at the Technical University of Munich (Munich, Germany) with postdoctoral studies at Ohio State University and The University of Chicago.
She is affiliated with professional organizations such as the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).
About Melissa Gross, CRNP
Melissa Gross is a licensed family nurse practitioner specializing in allergy and asthma care for adults and children. She has extensive nursing experience with an emphasis on fostering therapeutic nurse-patient relationships, educating patients and family members, delivering patient centered care, and pro-actively engaging in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Prior to joining The Asthma Center team, Melissa worked at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, with an emphasis on caring for patients in The Neuroscience Unit. In addition to her clinical responsibilities at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she was an experienced member of the nursing team by assuming managerial responsibilities, updating and maintaining nursing standards for the hospital, training new nurses, and teaching nursing students. Melissa also completed 2 years of education and training as a nurse practitioner at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.
